Plot – Spoilers:

Beautiful Kate tackles taboo themes with a style that renders them almost beautiful. Recommended if you don’t care about pacing.

Really good. Sad AF. Kate was a little creepy if you ask me. She initiated the weird stuff with her brothers who were at that tender age when they had constant boners, but it takes 2 (or 3) to tango. 4 stars.
Not an effed up movie. Mainstream movie with incest subplot but really the story works and kind of sad with the surviving son, sister and dad. Directed by the actress Rachel Ward, and Bryon Brown.

Only saying, being visually disturbing is far from being the only parameter for judging a (disturbing, controversial, effedup) movie.. ..If the content of this, in a realistic way, isn’t effedup enough….

I’ve seen most of the films on here that are pushing 5 stars (Ichi the Killer, Gozu, Oldboy, Clockwork Orange, Cuckoo’s Nest, etcetera) … this is probably the best one I’ve seen for the first time on this site. By the time the credits rolled, I had a tear rolling down my cheek.
This is one of the most beautiful effed-up movies I have seen here.
Together with Schwarzer Panther. If you enjoyed this one, you will probably like that one.
hollywood can learn from this movie that they can make a good movie with a good story and a small number of good actors, so they can play those marvel garbage at nickelodeon channel instead.

The taboo was so well portrayed and downplayed that it wasn’t even an issue. I enjoyed this film, the characters, even Toni and Bruce, were likeable. In my opinion, Rachel Ward did a fantastic job with this screenplay because the novel was a bit of a drag.
Pleasant surprise, everything about this movie was well done. The story, Acting, Directing, Cinematography, Musical Score. I get it the subject matter is Taboo but this isn’t a Effedupmovie.
Maeve Dermody is not only the prettiest woman on Earth, she was great in this fine film. Brian Brown was excellent as the dad. Sofia Lowe was also great! 4-1/2 stars!
As the title says it’s an beautiful movie. It is brilliant in displaying the main characters deep struggle and traumata. Would recommend for everyone who likes melancholic stuff combined with taboo themes.
