The pace of the movie is slow to reflect the late 50’s Wisconsin small town feel. Less of a gore fest and more of a psychological examination of a deranged and super religious killer and his mentally ill mom. Steve Railsback gives a great performance and the production is superb. It’s pretty creepy. 4 stars.
