Plot – Spoilers:
A Mexican doctor, Jorge, is obsessed with his neighbor Isabel. He gets to see her often because she likes to jog around the block and drop by the local grocery like clockwork. And Jorge has all her movements memorized and tries to bump into her everywhere. When these fleeting and awkward dates don’t go anywhere, he tricks her into the boot of his car and holds her captive in his basement. The higher purpose is to stockholm her into living willingly as his wife. But Isabel is annoyingly resistant to his charms, leaving him no choice but to keep her restrained in an electric dog collar and to mete out appropriate punishments from time to time.
A fairly generic movie, but with a surprisingly good performance from its male lead, Hector Kotsifakis.

Hector’s performance was impeccable, the depiction of obsession and prodigious psychosis is profoundly evident in this film.

TERRIFIC! One of the more conventional horrors on this site – good story, satisfying revenge-filled finish, and a thoughtful unique soundtrack, which is so much better than that of the usual horror film, when all they do is repeatedly play loud heavy rock regardless of whether it suits the scene.
Well worth a watch.

There’s a lot of beautiful romance in this movie, especially during the first part. He bestows upon her a rare kind of deep affection that is sadly dying out these days in which relationships are considered temporary. Regardless of your view, you have to agree that it’s obvious that he loves her very much.
The wedding was particularly beautiful, and his emphasis on God during the ceremony demonstrates his deep values and moral convictions, as opposed to the arbitrary and artificial laws and conventions of popular culture.

Sounds like the plot of my daily life,only different,unlike Dr Jorge,my partner Steve,trick children,not women into the boot of our car & transport them home to keep captive in the basement,to playout our warped sexual & pedophilic desires!

She basically played the ditsy chick in every film she did and even in this top five there are moments of profound boredom that only OMH could withstand. Some might jiggle about for me not including PB but I advise anyone who thinks nostalgically on that tripe, re-watch it and think again.
As for her arse it has to be noted that there is at least one scene in each film focussed on her bottom but its not hers and you have to go back to the early 70`s to see the real thing which is kind of flacid and untoned. Although in Butterflies are free you do get a nice shot with her pussy tightly clenched in white panties. You can see her arse if you look at the pictures on IMDB for There’s a girl in my soup.
I will now cleanse my pallette with the films of Julie Christie who is not only better looking but can also act. I will reserve judgement on her whole career for now.

The musical score drove me up a wall. I disliked it very much. Low budget but it was still pretty good. Captivity movies tend to drag in spots and this one is no different. The music soundtrack was so annoying, Some good gruesome scenes. I’ll say 2 and a half stars.
