I would’ve given a better rating if the whole movie was like the last 20 minutes. I was expecting an excessively vile movie. Sorry if i sound like a sick bitch but like- that’s kinda the point if you’re making a movie about a case as horrifying as junko furutas. To paint how disturbing it was and demenstate the level of human cruelty. This girl suffered 44 days of torture to the point of BEGGING to be murdered, her entire body was destroyed. this was not only beyond tame for such a thing, it took forever for anything to happen.

    This one is pretty rough.
Hard to believe the real crime was even worse.
In reality, the poor girl was not just raped by the boys but also by hundreds of men in the basement as well.

An even sadder thing to consider y’all is that none of those little fucks got what they deserved. But they did get extra time added when they went to a Judge to see if they could get their sentences lowered…(LOL!) Japs are still very big on that honor stuff and if you bring shame on them in the eyes of the rest of the world, you will be made aware of it in no uncertain terms! The Japanese authorities wanted to punish Issei Sagawa (Cannibal killer turned author & celebrity) for the dishonor he brought on them. But they could do nothing more than send him for a short stay at a mental institution because France’s wussy courts declared him insane & his crime was committed over there.

But getting back to the crime committed in this movie, I believe they each got eight years. Then up to 15 when they tried to appeal their original sentences. The presumed “Leader” (Who was rumored to have had Yakusa connections) ended up back in prison again for almost beating a guy to death over a girl they both wanted. How much time he got for that I don’t know. But I’m fairly certain that his previous record did not get him just slapped on his widdle pee-pee. (I would love to discover that he got the same Judge that raised his sentence for his participation in the killing of Junko Furuta!)

    French justice-Limp wristed.
    American justice-Tyrannical, Draconian.
    Japanese justice-just about right.

Jeez, go read the Wiki entry of Murder of Junko Furuta – I have read some bad shit but this is like nothing I have ever read. They set fire to her at one point, but she survived, ah…….just read it, it is mind blowing and really quite upsetting….!!!!

And keep up the good work, such an awesome site……thanks…..

Ok I honestly have not watched this movie yet or even heard of it or the crime so after reading comments I’m just a little nervous. Coming from extreme abuse I’m very sensitive to anyone being hurt or abused especially children and animals and I’m strongly against it all and what makes it more horrible is that this really happened and probably more severe then whatever is in the movie. But I am curious I guess. I love this site a lot but get myself in trouble many times with movies I know better to stay away from but find myself watching. Anyway thanks to the owner for the movies and to all who left comments. I think I will try the movie out

Just read about the case online and I’m seriously sick to my stomach of what that poor girl went through. Those sick evil fucks . Im pissed and not even sure I want to see this movie but the weird side of me is curious. I don’t know why I like to push my own sanity when there is barely any left. Oh well

Chase, it is good that you have the balls to want to test your mental boundaries; that’s the only way you get stronger. You are just like me in that regard. I came from an abusive environment as well (a fundamentalist home with LOTS of spiritual abuse to go along with the usual physical abuse) And I have to prepare myself when watching some of these movies. Most do not bother me to an overwhelming degree, but some are a hard watch and some are movies that…well, let’s put it this way; My Wife, My Life and My Freedom are not worth what could happen from watching “Jesus camp”! Some shit is just wayyy too close to home! Not sure if you have come back to read comments like I do, but if you are seeing this, good luck to you dude.

Hey man thanks so much for your comment. It’s nice to see that other people can understand where I’m coming from. I love movies so much and you would think with the abuse I have went through even recently I would stay far away from certain movies but for some reason I feel more comfortable watching these kind but same time it really triggers a lot in me. I know with these type movies I am really taking big risk and I have paid major many times doing that but I still find myself here and searching around online to find movies . I do like to challenge myself. Not sure why . Not sure if I’m trying to prove something or what but I test my limits so much. Im sorry you were abused . I know I don’t know you and you not know me but if I could change it I would change it and you would have had very happy life and no hurt or pain. I would change it for everyone and there would be no such of abuse at all going on. I remember I knew nothing about a serbian film or heard of it and I actually found it on my brothers laptop and he said do not watch it chase and when I hear that I of course want to see so me and some of my cousins watched it and I had so many panic attacks and wasn’t ok for a couple of weeks. Like you said some things hit home way to close and that movie hit many things with me and I was just traumatized but then I went back by myself and watched it and I still didn’t like it but I understand it and honestly appreciate it because to me it shows others the kind of people that really are in this world and things they do because many live in a fake world where they think nothing bad happens and that abuse don’t exist especially on boys so for me the movie shows truth. Im sorry this is so long but your message was really nice and you do sound like me in many ways. Im not sure if you will ever see this but hope you live a nice healthy life and stay safe friend

The fact that it was based on a real story was really effed up,and a lot of yakuza members enjoyed free attendance aswell. I couldn’t really enjoy it and as a movie it was weak as well.
