A story about a group of satanists out on the prowl for a random victim takes a turn to the paranormal division of the SS and a couple of half-sisters on the run after killing for money.
Oddly, some of the most impressive-looking gore in Ratline appears in vintage black-and-white Nazi-related reels and you wonder why more of that couldn’t have been on show here.
I liked the music that played over the credits at the beginning. The story is cool at first. The best part was the little Nazi documentary in the middle. Then I don’t really know what the fuck happened after that. Why didn’t grandpa Webb grab that axe type thing while the crazy guy was kneeling down over the Nazi flag? He knew the crazy guy was probably going to kill him, right? Crystal had 2 guns after she killed the other guy but she decided she didn’t need to take one with her to the abandoned school after the lunatic guy injected something in her friend’s neck? Too many plot holes and the acting was weak. 2 stars.

Not one for me. I’m done with movies which start with some baffling graphic scene out of context just for the hell of it, usually done because it’s a shite film and the director wants to grab your attention.

I really enjoyed this. The director/writer Eric Stanze did his research. The Nazi Blood Flag does exist… check Wikipedia. Lots of really awesome gore/decapitation effects. It’s nice to see a horror film with plot.

Dude, that was a good movie! Its rare that i see a gore flick with a good plot. Now THAT was a movie!

In her infinite wisdom, Grammy Lecter always said “If you can’t say something nice, keep your pie hole shut.” Well, two things about my dear sweet Grammy Lecter: one, she was certifiably insane and live out her days in the Lithuanian Home for the Rude; and two… she never saw this movie. It does indeed rank pretty high on the Linda Lovelace scale of sucking without not swallowing.
But still, for what it’s worth, I enjoyed the movie and would like to thank the folks at EUM for being such outstanding human beings and would like to nominate them for the Nobel Peace Prize….except obama cheapened it to the level of a $20 crack kibble so, at this point it’s out of the question. Instead have a Hershe’s kiss…..
