Plot – Spoilers:
Jessie and Gerald head to their remote holiday-home for a sexual escapade designed to loosen the awkwardness in their marriage. Gerald pops some viagra, handcuffs Jessie to a bed and tries to look and feel sexy, but the foreplay stumbles along.
And then Gerald has a heart attack.
Gerald’s Game, based on the Stephen King book, is as much about comical elderly sex adventures as it is about trauma and survival and could have easily fallen apart without strong acting performances from the leads. And even the dog.

I couldn’t stand Bruce Greenwood as “Gerald,” the old fuck with his shirt off for the first hour, therefore I disliked “Jessie” for marrying such an irritating person. It’s slow, it’s boring and I thought it was kind of corny by the end. 2 stars.
