Based on the Columbine shootings.
Though there’s hardly any action for most of the movie and you just have these basement tapes sort of thing, the (first-time) actors keep it so real, you almost don’t want to miss a word of their ramblings. Zero Day will probably bring back memories of the first time you watched August Underground 1.

On my 18th birthday my mom had roughly the same conversation with me that Andre had with his dad. Things along the lines of “life isn’t fair and won’t always go your way so doing the wrong thing won’t always mean you’ll get away with it”. I remember this having been my favorite movie for the past couple years I jokingly replied “who needs Prozac when I have you mom!”

The 911 responder over the end is unrealistic but I get the point. So it assumes that Andre called the cops, gave his name and then had a phone on the line with him the whole time, rather than a victim calling. I more so think it’s just meant to show in general the way that first responders scrambled when it came to the columbine shooting. It’s known most everyone was dead (besides a sole teacher dying) before law enforcement showed up. So the 911 responders must’ve been scrambling from calls by students and faculty. I still prefer elephant to this film, honestly the last act kind of ruined it for me. Knowing and planning and watching that is so disturbing that the end, and then the journalists feels like an unearned payoff.

The only part i did not like was actually 2 and it was the ending 1) the 911 operator had me feeling like I was in a movie theater telling a kid to shut the hell up. I can’t imagine why any one would think its a good idea to repeat them selfs over and over again to a sane or insane person like that is gonna help the problem… Like fr elevator music would be more calming than a old person mocking a broken record.. 2) The day after footage how did they make there film so crappy compared to the “psycho’s”? Like really watching the special class at the end take revenge at first i thought they were gonna pick up and do same thing NEXT DAY! XD I was like “oh shit…” Then I forgot this was not a movie but documentary” Then they do what they do without spoiling it yeah that does seem like a shitty school if they got the special class be bigger bullys than jocks that just shows no good leadership for the people there.
RIP to all lost from this incident keep in mind when watching this documentary I started to feel like it was a movie and started to view and write this review from that stand point and not from knowing or seeing real incident.

This shows how the news coverage surrounding this event is full of lies. Never let a good crisis go to waste, heh! The Vatican’s response was “America is a sick gun culture. Entire Narratives constructed from bits and pieces always to further their nefarious agendas. America is a sick culture not because of guns but because fanatical Hollywood & Political hero worship, Materialism, and the constant pursuit of $. Oh and law and justice is funny in this country if you got the money you can get out of anything ask OJ. Right there, at 29:00. Here’s a girl, too uninformed and too self-absorbed to know that her male friends are going on to commit a heinous act. I don’t know where she is now, and don’t think she is an accomplice, but it’s obvious that weak people interact with monsters and have no ability to do anything to stop them, because they are dumb.
much better than elephant. My only complaint is that horrible 911 operator at the end, who kept just repeating “Andre?… Can you pick up? Andre?” it was excruciating, and her entire vioceover should just be cut from the movie entirely. it was unnecessary and honestly, ruined the movie for me.

Not sure wanna waste time to watch this, but Zero Days which is a documentary about iranian nuclear program being seriously damaged by a cyber weapon was great.
