Silent Night Deadly Night 3 (1989)

Option 1Can't Watch?

Wait 30secs. Movie still not playing? Click the "Can't Watch?" tab.

If the movie didn't load, it means you are being blocked by a security service we use. This can happen for a number of reasons.

Click this first

A new tab will open and a basic security check like a captcha will be performed. After completing the check, close that page and return here.

Refresh this page. Wait 30 secs. The movie should load and you can just hit play.

If it still doesn't play, Click here to watch the movie

The movie should now start playing in a new tab of your browser or begin downloading to your device. This option has the minor disadvantage that English-language movies with optional subtitles in the movie player will not include these subs with this method.

The new system here has been designed keeping in mind even people with low internet speeds sub-8mbps. Even if you have a really bad connection, you should still be able to watch the movie without any issues if you:
Start the movie. Pause it. Wait for 30-45 seconds. Start playing again.

This 'Can't Watch' method really only works if it's your specific device/browser that's interfering with the player. There is no real advantage of speed here. Or if there is a temp network glitch or read lag from the server disk.

If you're still having problems, try using 'Incognito mode' in your browser. On iPhones, especially older ones, use Chrome instead of Safari. Might help.

IMPORTANT: Please make sure that the newly opened tab is not an ad popup asking you to download some software or whatever. Close any such popups and don't download any software - those are ads. Nothing is needed to be done by you other than to complete the security check which is often automated.

AKA: Silent Night, Deadly Night 3: Better Watch Out!

Starring: Samantha Scully (Laura), Bill Moseley (Ricky), Richard Beymer (Dr. Newbury), Eric Da Re (Chris), Laura Harring (Jerri), Robert Culp (Old cop)
Country: USA; Effed Up American Movies
Language: English (Optional Eng Subs)
Runtime: 01:29:53
Genres: Killers

Plot – Spoilers:
A young woman Laura is part of a mind experiment with a killer the Silent Night Deadly Night series seems incapable of killing off for good. Here he’s been resurrected, and as proof, walks around zombie-like with his brains spilling out the top of his head.

Early into the movie, a terrorized Laura runs down a hallway more with her arms than her boots. And you think, this is going to be good. But somewhere along the way, Silent Night Deadly Night 3 deviates to boringly explore Laura’s loving relationship with her brother without even turning on incest mode. But there’s plenty of good bad acting, especially one old cop who must’ve always felt he belongs in westerns, and decides to bring that here anyway.

What a terrible film. It’s boring, it’s no fun, it’s not funny and it lacks any Christmas holiday spirit. It pains and saddens me to see Robert Culp (as the Lieutenant) in such an awful film. Robert Culp was one of my favorite villains in my all time favorite TV series “Columbo.” Culp was the murderer/bad guy in 3 different Columbo episodes; “Death Lends a Hand” (1971), “The Most Crucial Game” (1972) and “Double Exposure” (1973). All 3 episodes are fantastic and were made when Culp was in his prime. I was going to give this 2 stars because I like Robert Culp but it’s so bad I can’t. 1 star.

One film from the “Silent Night Deadly Night” franchise is going to make it on to my “Old Mother Hubbard’s Top 25 Picks For WORST Movies On EUM.” So far this one is in the lead.

this storyline is so 1-dimensional, it hurts to watch. plus ‘left-over eye candy’ is NOT eye candy, wtf. It would get more than 0.5/5 if it wasn’t a trilogy of a film series. The script dialogue was less-worse than the 2nd film, but the lore here is so pointless it becomes boring enough where you just want the film to end. If the main character had been her brother clocking out of work to care for his blind sister, it would’ve really made a difference at this point. Tin-head killer plot-twist for The Killer should’ve been the sister being driven mad!!! I wouldn’t even call this “ending” an ending, instead: a pointless supernatural sci-fi failure. Cliff-hanged as to what the fucking hell??–some bootleg voodoo controlled, lobotomy?!

The third film in this series does take the plot forward in a new direction which, after the repetition of the second film, is to be commended. That said, the acting of the brother, sister and his girlfriend is poor, very poor. I have never seen such minimal variation in acting regardless of what is happening. Nothing happening, getting attacked, someone killed .. all delivered with minimal emotional reaction. Acting wise, its so wooden it has the impact of three chairs being thrown in front of the camera.
Sadly, there is also a decrease in boobs in this installment. Though the mom killed in the first film has her boobs shown in a flashback in this film, just like the second film. I feel as though I now know her boobs better than the back of my hand. I hope she got royalties from having her boobs shown in the second and third film. I wonder if her boobs make an appearance in the fourth film…..
Overall, this film has a better plot than the second film but oh god the acting …. have to give it just 1.5/5 wet panties.

most underrated horror series.
SNDN’s antagonist could’ve been up there with horror icons like Jason, Leather Face, and Freddy Krueger if it wasn’t initially banned in theatres.
