Plot – Spoilers:
Milos is a retired legendary Serbian pornstar trying to adjust to a family life with wife and son. Into his shiftiness and unease walks a perverse director Vukmir who wants him to star in his upcoming film. The money’s tempting, but the terms are mysterious – Vukmir refuses to provide any details about the kind of film he’s making, or its storyline. Milos probably thinks to himself – I’ve done all sorts of porno, how different or bad can this get?
A Serbian Film has been ripped apart by a sizable section as rubbish, but our view here is that this is one of the true masterpieces of the modern era when it comes to effed up movies. The Director seems like someone who hung around imageboards and onion sites and decided to put together a collection of the worst he had seen. What makes A Serbian Film stand out compared to many other movies in the genre is the acting and the levels of depravity which all seem believable.

This is one of those movies that is a collection of favorite scenes, one after the other. But to pick a few:
1. The whole build-up towards Vukmir’s vision of a relationship between Milos and Jeca:
It’s brilliant in its use of psychological elements. For example, Jeca is first introduced to Milos in a situation that tugs at his paternal, sympathetic instincts. Step by step, he is then titillated into viewing her through sexual eyes.
2. Milos stabs Vukmir’s nurse with a syringe containing a sex-drive drug. She later walks in with a rusty pipe and her vaginal area covered in blood – a crusty pipe providing sexual succor to her heightened desire was all that mattered, even if it was the equivalent of fucking herself to death.

very honest review on this movie. i’ve seen A LOT of talk on social media and many other places, describing how hard-to-watch this film is. i’ll be honest, i expected more. from how people were hyping it up and explaining it, i expected a lot more. it’s hard for me to look away during horror movies, or any movie for that matter, and this did not make me wanna look away one bit. some gore and nudity is light work for me! some parts in the film were also a bit confusing. it took me a minute to understand some scenes, so i feel like they could’ve made some parts clearer for the audience. i will say tho, the storyline is interesting and very suspenseful. it has a very jaw-dropping ending, did not see that coming AT ALL. i actually felt bad for Milos and his family. i feel like anyone who watches this movie shouldn’t focus on the nudity or gore aspect, but the actual storyline. it’s a fucked storyline for sure, but it’s worth the watch. halfway into the movie, i thought i was going to be wasting my time, but after watching the whole thing, it definitely did not disappoint. i also noticed throughout the whole film that it has a very very very excellent soundtrack. the soundtrack in this movie fits all the scenes perfectly. the actors and actresses also fit their roles very well. overall, i would give this movie a 7/10. good storyline, excellent… Read more »

I honestly like the movie, LOVE the soundtrack, and still disturbed with the sounds of the NBP scene.

I finally watched this after 2 years of wanting to and I didn’t expect the ending to almost make me cry. I understand why this is such a controversial movie but if you look past some of the shock horror it’s hard to not get attached to the family and get just a little sad watching them fall apart at the hands of the porn industry
This movie was such a mind fuck honestly I had no idea what was happening at the start but right off the bat from every other fucked movie I’ve seen so far (not alot) this one’s quality was out of this world. I didn’t mind the subtitles actually it added something for me really, kept me interested and this movie really succeeds on keeping you interested. Unlike any other fucked movie I’ve seen on this website I never once had the thought of “is it over yet” because the rest were just a drag but this movie kept me interested, from the soundtrack to the camera angles to the acting and the plot overall this movie was so well made I’m actually glad i watched it. Despite all the dick riders on how fucked up this movie truly was I’d say most of them have a right to dick ride, sure it was pretty disturbing but besides that I don’t think that’s what it should get attention for. Really it’s a genuinely good movie, it had a sort of powerful almost artistic ending. Man I sound like a dick rider now😢 but overall that was good shit, while watching I actually got a shiver down my spine this movie succeeds at whatever it’s trying to do. Admittedly, I expected it to be much more disturbing. The kid stuff was admittedly pretty bad, but even newborn porn was just a guy waving a baby doll in front of his hips with crying sounds playing. I could do that for free at home. Overall I found it well shot and interesting, but not as disturbing as expected. The ending is very well done, though, done with almost no dialog and ear-numbing music, that part will stay with me. But we don’t judge movies based on the ending alone, and this one was entertaining but, if you can get through the pedophilia, not the more gruesome or the most fun movie I’ve seen. I’d give it a 8/10 for quality, but a 6/10 on gore. Better than average with the close-up, intense angles shot with obvious skill, but the real meat of the controversy is in the pedophilia- Something I’d just as soon do without, anyway. Put more thought and effort into your gore, and you wont have to lean on such shocking taboo stuff. I don’t fully understand why Milos gave in to that at the end, when it had been his strongest conviction prior, but I guess cow viagra is one hell of a drug. I liked the soundtrack, also. Nobody talks about that.
