A bunch of obnoxious medical students arrive at a snowy Norwegian cabin. Unbeknownst to them, the mountains are home to Nazis who tormented the locals during the war. Old age and the cold have since transformed these Nazis into a squad of gold-hunting zombies with their uniforms still impressively intact.
Dead Snow 1 manages to avoid genre-trappings through dark humour and its locales. Apart from a few odes to Braindead, the film also has one of the most spectacular shots ever captured in a movie of this genre (28:31).
Not my typical type of movie, but not bad.
It’s a specific genre so yeah not for everyone 🙂
It’s very fictitious, zombies, nazis oriented (that’s best part otherwise meh IMO)
Not into zombie stuff so yeah
love this film!
Great Nazi Zombie movie. I was rooting for the survivor to get away. Oh well, that’s life (or death)
“Nazi zombies don’t wanna eat you just cuz they’re craving the protein. They do it cuz… they do it cuz they hate Americans, man. They’re the Talibans of the zombie world.”

Thank you, guys… for another awesome movie!
i love this movie.. not very often a horror movie is genuinely funny but this is 🙂
Great zombie (and Nazi!) splatter film. Well recommended.
Pretty funny for a zombie film but also pretty stupid. I can totally imagine the idea for this film being borne out of an evening filled with heavy drinking and smoking marijuana haha.
Amazing movie fun to watch it but very strange and impossible how they don’t get infected that’s really funny because when a zombie bites you. You will become one of them hahahaha….
Made life bearable for 90 minutes. Not worth watching besides that tho
Nice gore kept it interesting, but horror and comedy dont often mix well ( except ” Braindead ” ). Its a bit like mixing a Western and Sci-Fi or a War film and Fantasy. It was ok for a laugh and a good way to waste an hour and a half, but largely forgetable.
I vaguely remember watching this as a child about 8 years old
