Human Pork Chop (2001)

Option 1Can't Watch?

Audio sounds demonic? Video not playing/delay while scrolling? Use the "Can't Watch?" tab.

If the movie didn't load, you're being blocked by a security service in use here. Can happen for a number of reasons. Or your specific device/browser might be throwing up weird errors.

Click this first

A new tab will open and a basic security check like a captcha will be performed. After completing the check, close that page and return here.

Refresh this page. Wait 30 secs. The movie should load and you can just hit play.

If it still doesn't play, Click here to watch the movie

The movie should now start playing in a new tab of your browser or begin downloading to your device. This option has the minor disadvantage that English-language movies with optional subtitles in the movie player will not include these subs with this method.

The new system here has been designed keeping in mind even people with low internet speeds sub-8mbps. Even if you have a really bad connection, you should still be able to watch the movie without any issues if you:
Start the movie. Pause it. Wait for 30-45 seconds. Start playing again.

This 'Can't Watch' method really only works if it's your specific device/browser that's interfering with the player. There is no real advantage of speed here. Or if there is a temp network glitch or read lag from the server disk.

On iPhones, especially older ones, use Chrome instead of Safari. Might help.

IMPORTANT: Please make sure that the newly opened tab is not an ad popup asking you to download some software or whatever. Close any such popups and don't download any software - those are ads. Nothing is needed to be done by you other than to complete the security check which is often automated.

Plot – Spoilers:
The subs were already burnt in and are poor, but do the job. This is based on the notorious Hello Kitty Murder and is one of the two movies on the case to be featured here, the other being There Is a Secret in My Soup.

A prostitute, Grace, is brought to a motel by her friend as she needs a place to stay. The motel is basically a brothel run by Chan and a couple of his goons who maintain a fairly normal relationship with their hookers, so long as business is good. But Grace makes the mistake of stealing from Chan and dipping. She then has a kid and is planning a new life with her boyfriend when Chan locates her and holds her captive in his flat once it becomes clear she won’t be repaying his debt-plus-penalties anytime soon.

The thing with Grace is she’s casual about everything, even when imprisoned. She never truly realizes that some of the people she fucked with are the kind who’d shove a dog into a sack and bang it against a wall to kill their boredom. Instead, she thinks she’s among familiar folk who won’t go beyond a certain point and in this, Emily Kwan does a pretty great job playing her and oscillating between being flippant to her situation and truly pathetic. What follows for Grace is total debasement of her humanity and severe torture. But things then get bizarre when the group are left with the age-old problem – disposal of a body. A Hello Kitty plushie offers a little help.

The movie is a little different from the irl case in a few things like the actual relationships – the real Chan was a client, the age of the female accomplice in the humiliation was 14 and the wife was not believed to have been involved.

HUMAN PORK CHOP isn’t as graphically “shocking” as it is just plain dirty. The whole production has a grimy feel to it that actually adds to the atmosphere of the film. HUMAN PORK CHOP isn’t a bad film by any means, the acting is decent, the storyline is relatively coherent, and I feel that the film does what it was intended to do to the viewer psychologically. The film tells the story of a prostitute who is severely punished for stealing from her pimp. The story is told in flash-back fashion, after the pimp and his crew are arrested for her murder. The next 90 minutes is spent showing the systematic beating, degradation, and humiliation of the hooker. The sex and violence in HUMAN PORK CHOP is decidedly understated compared to many other Cat III shockers. There is very little gore until the end (and even the “hooker-dismemberment” scene to which I refer is nothing to write home about)and no nudity to speak of. Why does this film work at all then? I think it has to do with the fact that #1 – the film is played very straight-faced, without the usual humor that you see in a lot of Cat Ill films that is typically used to lighten the tension of otherwise harsh subject matter and visuals. #2 – The constant barrage of violence, mean-spirited “teasing” “, and downright abuse – although not particularly “gory” – eventually start to wear on the viewer, allowing you to actually sympathize… Read more »

OK – so this is based on a true story but it clearly states that the film is a work of fiction at the end. It’s an interesting story and it is worth a watch if you can put up with the lousy low-budget production, the not so great acting, the shitty SPX and the absolutely horrid musical score. This story deserves a better production. Hiromu Nakamura who directed “Concrete” (2004) could have made this story in to a great film. It’s an OK movie but I was hoping for something that would knock it out of the park after the last 4 films that were put on here. 2 and a half stars.
