No one cared thus far. Do you?

AKA: Angel of Vengeance

Plot – Spoilers:
A mute woman Thana works as a seamstress at an NY fashion house. While returning home from work, she’s grabbed and raped in an alleyway. Her day gets worse when on returning home, a thief who’s just broken into her place rapes her again.

It’s unclear whether Thana went mute as a result of childhood trauma. But the tragic look she earlier wore to work is soon replaced with one of vengeance, as she goes around town wreaking havoc on any man she deems worthy. There’s also the disposal of a body that needs taking care of, while avoiding a nosy neighbor lady and her annoying dog.

Random:
The first mysterious rapist doesn’t appear to have any significant relation to the plot as it was played by director Abel Ferrara.

Classic, highly recommended. Zoe Lund and Abel Ferrara would go on to collaborate again on the masterwork Bad Lieutenant.

The difference between an epic film and an over-blown home movie is detail. Ms .45 is using a Star Model BM…. which is a 9mm. Yeah… I know… I know…. is only a movie. And I DID enjoy it, but details matter. Especially to someone as anal as I am.

My personal thanks to the crew at E.U.M……. great effing job! I love you all and I want to have your children.

Hideously stupid, Thx God we don’t live in that era anymore. Movie industry has made some real progress since then.
