No one cared thus far. Do you?

AKA:
Directed by: William Peter Blatty
Starring: Stacy Keach (Vincent Kane), Scott Wilson (Billy Cutshaw), Jason Miller (Frankie Reno), Ed Flanders (Fell)
Country: USA; Effed Up American Movies
Language: English (Optional Eng Subs)
Runtime: 01:57:47
Genres: Mental Illness

About:
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest with strong influences of Christianity. Well, probably not as good, but at least similar in some scenes.

Directed by William Peter Blatty, this is often included in the Exorcist franchise, though barring an astronaut character, the odd actor and Christian themes, there’s not much else in common here.

Random – Massive Spoilers:
The basic premise of The Ninth Configuration might have later inspired the story of Scorsese’s Shutter Island.

Indulgent and underwhelming. More of a sunday afternoon film to fall asleep to and wake up for the ending.

He also lists The Exorcist, Pan’s Labyrinth and The Devils amongst top 10 movies ever… does it mean they automatically suck as well? I expected more from you, my brother…

The Devils I agree but the Exorcist is laughable and I prefer the Devil’s Backbone to Pan’s Labyrinth

Fred said right. Right said fred. Kermode slathers over this film and says it is life affirming. I watched it and thanks to the site owners for that opportunity but my life was not affirmed my emotions were not uplifted and the only spirit invovled was the can of beer by my side. Kermode also says blatty was a fan of groucho. The difference is that groucho had excellent timing and blatty has zero.
As for the other kermode loves. Pans Labyrinth is lovely and if ever you get the opportunity to watch The Exorcisit on the big screen you should. The Devils well muh.

Re-watched, watched Kermode flagellate himself about the directors cut and warners not allowing its release and stick by my original ..muh… Mignons severe bowl cut is however fantastic.

Like anybody.. opinions differ.. I was also gonna comment he likes the devils too.. someone already did though… and that film is great. He likes other great movies too.. he also likes some that I dont.. that’s just how it is with anybody. He didn’t really care for the great beauty and that film blows my mind with how awesome it is. (maybe you don’t like it) ..He also said he seen Barry Lyndon when he was younger and he didnt care for it.. years later he rewatched and loved it. Barry Lyndon is also amazing.. the only Kubrick film I really care about..
