Plot – Spoilers:
Eiji is a young scientist whose parents were into experimental research. His Dad went missing before he was born and his mother is currently in the final stages of perfecting the ultimate contraceptive. Eiji himself believes he has concocted the perfect drug to turn feelings of pain and sadness into pleasure and happiness. He names this drug ‘My Son’ and cheerily cycles to his mother’s hospital where she is about to test her contraceptive on three volunteer girls. While she’s away, Eiji slips ‘My Son’ into the test material and begins following and filming the three girls to see the results.
Eiji soon discovers that there was an aspect of turning pain into pleasure that he’d not factored in. He also fancies one of the girls who shares a bizarre relationship with a cactus, and everyone and everything soon begin to unravel.
Naked Blood is notorious for its effects and effed up scenes that include frying one’s own hand and orgasmically chewing on the finger chip, gory body piercings, a girl eating part of her vagina and then stabbing her own eye with a fork and eating it.
I friggin’ remember stumbling upon the self-cannibalism part as a kid when it was fully shown on YouTube years ago!
After seeing the title “Splatter: Naked Blood” and viewing the movie poster I had a preconceived idea of what this movie would be like. It’s nothing like what I thought it would be. There are elements of self cannibalization, self mutilation, murder, astral projection and a cactus, which is a main character in the film. One of my favorite parts was when dad walked towards the light. Much more bizarre than I anticipated. I thought it was great. 4 stars.

There’s an Asian movie I saw years ago about people trapped in a room filled with powder. Occasionally men in hazmat suits would come in and spray them down. I don’t want to spoil the ending. But it’s driving me nuts as to what movie it was.

A bit slow at the start but persistence pays off. Some good gore and special effects and strangely erotic too, I thought. Some of those Japanese chicks were quite cute especially doing nasty things. Have not seen many asian films but this one gave me the taste for them, now I want to watch more. Cheers!
