Wait 30secs. Movie still not playing? Click the "Can't Watch?" tab.
Click this first
A new tab will open and a basic security check like a captcha will be performed. After completing the check, close that page and return here.
Refresh this page. Wait 30 secs. The movie should load and you can just hit play.
If it still doesn't play, Click here to watch the movie
The movie should now start playing in a new tab of your browser or begin downloading to your device. This option has the minor disadvantage that English-language movies with optional subtitles in the movie player will not include these subs with this method.
The new system here has been designed keeping in mind even people with low internet speeds sub-8mbps. Even if you have a really bad connection, you should still be able to watch the movie without any issues if you:
Start the movie. Pause it. Wait for 30-45 seconds. Start playing again.
This 'Can't Watch' method really only works if it's your specific device/browser that's interfering with the player. There is no real advantage of speed here. Or if there is a temp network glitch or read lag from the server disk.
If you're still having problems, try using 'Incognito mode' in your browser. On iPhones, especially older ones, use Chrome instead of Safari. Might help.
IMPORTANT: Please make sure that the newly opened tab is not an ad popup asking you to download some software or whatever. Close any such popups and don't download any software - those are ads. Nothing is needed to be done by you other than to complete the security check which is often automated.
AKA: –
Directed by: Gus Van Sant
Starring: Nicole Kidman (Suzanne), Joaquin Phoenix (James), Matt Dillon (Larry), Alison Folland (Lydia), Casey Affleck (Russell), Illeana Douglas (Janice)
Country: USA; Effed Up American Cinema
Language: English (Optional Eng Subs)
Runtime: 01:46:21
Genres: Based on a True Story, Teenagers, Old-Young Relationships
Plot – Spoilers:
Inspired by the true case of Pamela Smart.
Suzanne has craved one thing ever since she was little – to be on TV. Everything she does, including her relationships, are merely a means to this end. Men are mostly smitten by her and women intimidated, and so, no one ever really gives her a reality check. Meanwhile her ambition snowballs to the point where it’s ready to consume her husband when he threatens to stand in its path.
Despite the melodramatic tone in what is essentially a satirical piece, Gus Van Sant elicits knockout performances from his Hollywood stars (and Alison Folland as Lydia) and as a bonus, includes a memorable scene of James (Joaquin Phoenix) dancing.

It’s an outrage, I tell you, that EUM would put movies on their website like “Sleepers” and “Angel Heart.” They are just too fucking mainstream. On the other hand, “To Die For” is perfectly fine to put on EUM. Just read every comment below.
“To Die For” is a mainstream Hollywood comedy satire lampooning the Pamela Smart murder case. The cast is like a who’s who of Hollywood. Is it funny? Yes. Are the all star cast absolutely great in their roles? Yes. Is the big budget production through the roof when it comes to quality? Yes. Am I going to give it 5 stars? Yes. Is it effed up? That’s debatable.
EUM viewers love this film and have no problem with it being on here. “Sleepers” and “Angel Heart” are a bridge too far because they are both too mainstream to be on EUM. Make it make sense.
Those Van Zandt boys sure are talented. All of them.
What instantly grabbed my eyeballs the first time I watched this? Seeing Nicole’s yummy little pink toes and barefeet with her sexy little thong on them when she was changing! She’s my fantasy Aussie thoroughbred sex kitten 😺
Love Marie Tucci
In with some pretty ordinary movies in the catalogue there are some very good ones, and this is one of those.
What a masterpiece.
Ileana Douglas was subtly amazing, especially in the skating scene at the end.
My favorite Nicole Kidman film of all time.
Can’t the owner of this site add better descriptions if the movie includes sex scenes for example
fuck yeah
Super bonus – Music from Nailbomb!
Interesting movie.
one of my fav’s
I’m surprised to see one of my favorite movies from the 90’s on here, as it’s more of a true crime drama/character study than a typical fucked up movie, but it’s worth a watch for anyone who hasn’t seen it nonetheless. You have great actors/actresses, a great director, a score by Danny Elfman, a cameo from David Cronenberg; and a storyline that’s still relevant today. Need I say more?
