No one cared thus far. Do you?

AKA:
Directed by: Kirsten Sheridan
Starring: Cillian Murphy (Pig), Elaine Cassidy (Runt), Sarah Gallagher (Runt as a child), Charles Bark (Pig as a child), Darren Healy (Marky), Brían F. O’Byrne (Runt’s dad)
Country: Ireland, Effed Up British-Irish Films
Language: English (Eng Subs)
Runtime: 01:28:31
Genres: Teenagers

Plot – Spoilers:
Pig and Runt were born together and also live next door to each other. In fact, you’d be forgiven for assuming they were twins. They can only relate to each other and not to the outside world that appears to be increasingly hostile to them. Or maybe they’re just withdrawing into one another while increasingly hating the outsides. But when Runt nears 17, something begins to change and she finds the world more receptive to her. Pig who had a violent streak to begin with, starts to lose control.

Pig played by Cillian Murphy with his saucery insane eyes will either provoke your sympathy or make you loathe him from your gut.

Hmm, That was different. Kinda predictable and slow, but not terrible. Cillian and Elaine did amazing jobs at their roles.

This movie was directed by a Woman. That’s good enough reason for me to move on.

There are lots of women directors who have made good films. One is ”Sweatshop” which is full of ott gore and quite good. Maybe u should watch it.

Has anyone here checked out Ravenous from 1999? It has a woman director and is pretty good. Lots of fucked up themes.

Totally agree. And I happen to be one. When I see a woman director, I anticipate a crap movie. But make an exception for “the Piano”.

Hey admin, the movie was a surprise
    (had to watch it twice
    to understand the accent) !
Unique story line and fast paced with a
surprise mercy killing to wrap it up.

I guess if I comment on here, this is what happens. Just can’t get away from trolls. My days are easy to the point of embarrassment to tell the truth. I feel sorry for anyone that has to make rude replies for entertainment. Have a nice life.
