LAPD officer Abel Turner has worked his ass off to afford the gated community home where he lives with his two kids. And he’s pretty proud about it. He’s also big on race and well-defined racial genres. So when an interracial couple move in next-door, Abel disapproves and tries his best to be a nuisance.
At the end of the day, Abel’s just a bitter man who can’t stand others moving out of the predefined zones that he’s sketched out for them and uses race to silence and embarrass them.
What’s effed up about this is that it’s based on a true story with the officer in question, Irsie Henry losing his job eventually after multiple cases and several years of harassment accusations.
This is how old wives tales get started. The person this story is based on, Irsie Henry who is depicted in the film as Abel Turner, is still alive. When you are led to believe something is a true story, especially when it comes to racism, make sure you double check the facts. In America 97% of blacks that are murdered are murdered by black people and 81% of Whites that are murdered are murdered by black people. Slavery and racism has always been used and exaggerated by blacks as an excuse so they can commit crimes. Slavery is basically a bullshit, over exaggerated story, like when black women lie about how they can’t breathe when they get pulled over for a simple traffic violation and turn it in to a felony by not cooperating. The true part of the story is that the white guy did nothing wrong (although flicking cigarette butts on your neighbor’s lawn is fucking irritating and not right) and had major crimes committed against him by, you know who, a black guy. At least this movie is honest about who the real racist is but it is not even remotely close to what really happened. 3 stars.
My main problem with “Based on a true story” movies is that they are usually way off the mark when it comes to what really happened, but people will continue to believe the myths for the rest of their lives.

spoiler alert! this movie is about a white guy banging a black woman. he’s obviously racist as fuck and she’s a post modern victim of rape through intergenerational ptsd brought on by being a descendent of slaves who were gangraped repeatededly by rich plantation owners. the guy next door is a kind negro man and tries to help the woman escape but the white guy blows his head off. then they blame the black guy and the white guy walks away all shit hot in his white male privledge and he likely continues banging the shit outta that black chick for years and years. it’s so wrong!!

EUM guys, why would you put this type of movie on this site? You must surely be aware that it will set off racist and anti racist comments, especially with the situation in the US being the way it is at this time. This film will antagonise many people and spread hatred, as can be seen in the above comments. This is just my viewpoint, but maybe you were a bit insensitive showing this film, or maybe you just enjoy stirring folks up and reading their vitriolic comments and having a laugh about it. Sorry if I caused any offence to you but I felt I needed to make a point here. Would love to know what you think.
Great movie!!! Excellent job of Samuel L. portraying a effed up loser but typical burned-out cop. I’m not anti-cop but they, just like the people we elect, should have “term limits”. I come from a family of NYPD and I’ve watched them all, father, brother, and uncle burn out and become just as bad as the people they’re supposed to protect us from – in not worse because they truly believe they’re immune. Thank you much for this one, Admin! As always, you peoples are the absolute best… and I love you dearly!!! Now… about dinner. =)
