I Think the pimp actor sucked and played whatever stereotype of a pimp is and that’s it. There should’ve been more digging into Andrea’s backstory so the impact would be bigger and more touching instead of only showing her angst without no content of what her whole identity is. Also, unrelated sidenote — she’s very pretty!
I didn’t expect this movie would be so deep and impactful. The beginning looked a bit messy, but it was an artistic illusion – it was a metaphor of the total mess the life of this poor girl was. The cruel descent into horror that the porn dimension of the movie took parallels the cruelty she experiences and the pain that goes on crushing her heart. The directing makes porn indeed less and less about fun, but more and more about survival, till it cannot feel arousing at all and viewers want it to end so the poor girl can keep what’s left of her soul. I’m impressed by the acting, the directing and everything. This movie showed the cruelty of things without taking measures like when the girl experiences after she returns from her journey to the park. I found the porn scenes were better filmed and directed than classic porn, more interesting to watch, maybe because there was a much deeper artistic intention in their filming. This movie really struck me and I truly felt the upper-neck area behind my head like it was burning in the end of the movie during its very last scene. If you have a soul, you can’t come out untouched from watching this movie.
