The first in Nacho Cerda’s Trilogy of Death made as a student film in 1990.
A student sits pondering in class when he notices suddenly that time has frozen for everyone else around him. Even the clock on the wall has stopped while his watch keeps ticking along.

A major flaw is that even if we look at the lives of trailer park hillbillies, their lives are emotionally “sophisticated” and rich. It isn’t Shakespearean in presentation, yet the sting of betrayal and the folly of passionate, blind love feels the same no matter the socioeconomic class. [To be clear, most people aren’t entirely lulled to sleep until a critical event shocks (nudges) them into an “awakening”.]
