Plot – Spoilers:
Sonja and Willem run a plumbing business and are comfortably off. Their lives are organized, and son Sammy, despite hanging around with dopey friends, gets good grades and is focused on becoming a lawyer. Sammy is fairly steady with girlfriend Lina and good friends with John. John’s mother is abusive and has bizarre rules that prompt him to stay away from home as much as she allows him.
Into their lives walks in Sonja’s nephew Kevin, who was in prison for beating a man senseless. Sonja takes him in and offers him an apprenticeship as a favour to her sister. The reticent Kevin influences each of the characters, even as he’s consumed with understanding the allure/wariness his prison time inspires in the people around him.

Good movie. Good story. No tits and ass or gore (a little blood). A tad slow maybe but worth a watch. 4 stars.
