Deputy Sheriff Lou Ford is liked in town. He carries himself with an air of honesty that is trusted by those who grew up with him. Like his childhood friend Elmer Conway, the son of the wealthiest man around, who seeks Lou’s help in marrying a prostitute Joyce. Only thing is, Lou’s been balling her secretly and loves her too. But the way Lou loves women is different, which goes back to when mommy used to make him spank her.
Casey Affleck plays Lou disarmingly – when he says he’s sorry, you believe he’s sorry, even if fleetingly. And he seems to believe it himself, which makes him dangerous to everyone around him because he’s able to discard his remorse just as quickly.
Based on the Jim Thompson novel, the two movie versions are quite different in what they tackle. The 1976 version dealt more with Lou’s mental disintegration, whereas here, his sadistic and darker traits are unwrapped early on.
Beautiful photography, beautiful 1950s cars (where do they get them from?), beautiful girls bottoms, and a good convincing violent story. Terrific!
I never took Casey Afleck seriously until i saw this movie. Watch Good Will Hunting and then this movie and …
The film was well received, primarily due to Jessica Alba’s luscious ass writhing in pain/ ecstasy. Honorable mention goes to Mom’s pooper, which was bitable as they come… but is not Jessica Alba’s. The choice of accompanying tunage was exceptionally well thought out. Open to speculation is the inclusion of a couple vehicles that were well out of the era with two-tone metallic pain, raised white letter tiers and Craiger rims. This annoyed Mr. Stickler very much. But that’s why he’s Mr. Stickler. The question is: was it done intentionally to add an almost David Lynch type feel to the film? Or because the prop master needs a slap upside the back of the head? Maybe the directer just has a couple of cool old cars he wanted to show off. I don’t know… but Jessica Alba’s ass!!!

Thanks Admins! Now what can I say about this movie, Good and Bad? Well it has Jessica Alba getting her bare buttocks beat, as well as some other multiple spankings. Very well acted with believable Southern drawls and multiple Spankings. It starts to lag kinda the way Texas’s does. But then there are the multiple Spankings. It’s very true to the author’s intent in it’s presentation and then there are multiple Spankings. Editing could have been jazzed up a little bit in order to maintain a brisker pace but then there are multiple Spankings. Not crazy about seeing Women getting beat in the face unrecognizably ala Martyrs or the very cringe worthy first incest scene, but that’s why we are here at effedup and there is the multiple Spankings. Overall a great film to jerk off…I mean watch it’s engaging story with multiple Spankings. Hope the little pussy-fart, woke police bitches won’t attempt to condemn it or use it as a tool to condemn consensual BDSM between adults, since it has some great multiple Spankings. There is a really clever, cryptic reference to SPADE COOLEY and the brutal shit his life was throughout the movie (Especially with the inclusion of his song “Shame on you”). Which was based in reality. plus multiple Spankings. So dear reader, this one went from three stars to five because of it’s multiple Spankings
this is a faithful version of the novel i.e it keeps the nastiness at the heart which is inherent in the best film noir
