Plot – Spoilers:
There’s an urban legend going around Japanese schools about a slit-mouthed woman abducting children and creating future Jokers by slicing their mouths. The stories are embellished and it’s mostly a fun exercise for the schoolkids until it’s not. A couple of teachers get involved in the case, one of whom has a connection to the malevolent child-hating woman.
Based on an actual Japanese urban legend, this is from the director of Grotesque, but don’t expect similar violence and gore, as he seems to have stayed safe within the genre.
I got so excited to watch this movie after I heard the Japanese urban legend/folklore of Kuchisake-onna only to be highly disappointed when I found out after watching the movie, that the Kuchisake-onna from the movie has nothing in common to the Japanese urban legend/folklore.

Just play non-existent, my friend in Japan said she witnessed something like this legend and she survived by NOT reacting in any way. We as human beings shouldnt disrespect or mess with things we know nothing about, let alone a spirit that might be stuck in a limbo etc.

Watched Fast X last night. Helen Mirren is looking rough in her old age. I have lost a bucket load of essence over her through the years.
As for the film, lowQ script, questionable acting, normal storyline and the standard undertone of christianity is all as expected. However the innovative action shots make it worthy of a wet sunday evening. Slightly concerned about the rainbow theivery of the villain but hopefully they will curtail such agenda preaching in the follow ups.
I prefer the spit assed elementary shcool boy story by steve & friends
