Plot – Spoilers:
German Angst consisting of three short films is of interest to fans because it saw the brief return of Jorg Buttgereit after his last proper feature Schramm, back in 1993.

1. Final Girl
A teen girl has a guinea pig that she claims to care about, but she also has another guinea pig who points to darker secrets, alluded to in her memories of “unwanted caresses”. A tale of revenge basically.

2. Make a Wish
A deaf couple of Polish origin are waylaid by a group of neo-Nazis and an English straggler, who take it upon themselves to explain post-Hitler German guilt.

3. Alraune
A fashion photographer after breaking up with his girlfriend is excited by the prospect of a mystery encounter with a girl he met online, especially when she leads him to a secret club promising sexual abandon.

    Really enjoyed the 1st 2 films but the 3rd was so dark, I couldn’t see much at all. Hate that!

    The second court métrage was indelible and rubric. I found it to be recherché and discerning, the fluidity and execution were delineated…
    Avant-garde subjects.
